Quick question about my wheels?

I have a 05 cobalt ss/sc. I have the stock wheels, and my tires are 215/45/18, so are my wheels a 18x8.0 or 18.5.0 I am looking at a new pair of wheels that are 18x8.0, but I am not going to buy them if my tires I have now will not fit on the new wheels that I want.

215's will be a bit stretched on an 18x8 wheel. IIRC stock SS/SC wheels are 18x7

235 is good for an 8" wide wheel.

Yeah at least a 235 on an 8 incher...245 might be a bit better for some extra traction/wheel + curb protection...but depending on your suspension setup up you may not want to go that wide.

215/45 will be fine on an 8 inch wide wheel
