on a 17 inch rim im looking at they recomend a 215/45/17 for the tire size

but how big can u get a tire on a 17 inch rim like this one

and by how big i mean how wide. i want little sidewall but as wide as i can get.

i saw the solstace 2.4 today and looked at its tires. they got 245's on their 17 inch rims. i was like wtf.


so can anyone help me?

 

the solstace also has a different offset providing room for wider tires

 

well whats our offset or how big can we get our tires before they start rubbing the fendors?
