I have the Fastwheels F63 Evolution in 17" on my SS/SC at the moment as part of my "winter package" and doesn't look to bad at all. They look a little small with the stock ride height, but a nice change from stock. Still trying to decide if I want to step up to 19" for my next set or stick with a 18".

Been thniking about the same thing, The stock 18's look big to me so it's cool, but other wheels i have seen just look small. 19's maybe even 20's in the future. I will not go lower than 18 for summer wheels and there are a few that weigh pretty much the same thing regardless if they are 18's or 19's. We'll see.

Man I love the internet...

Pretty much the same thing can be had at someplace like Jegs. I would REALLY consider trying the 15" though, and trying to make them fit. SO many more options for tires, 16's as you already know, are kinda hard to find.

I've noticed alot of complants about the 5x110 lug pattern. Although rims are a pain to find you can order wheel adapters from any size to any size at www.wheeladapter.com Just my $.02

Tru trust me it been considered many times. I have heard that most if not all problems with adapters have been addressed but I have also heard of negitive effects on handling, size of wheel in relation to fenders in regards to rubbing and a few other things.

When it comes down too it I think the complaints come from the fact that we shouldn't have this problem. GM droppped the ball on this aspect of the car.

I find it highly unlikely in they considered the relative lack of aftermarket wheels for the pattern since they aren't about to pick it with something like that in mind.

Dazz motorsports will drill almost any 1 piece RH wheel to 5x110. From what I understood there will be a minimal charge if any.

what exactly plays a part in choosing a bolt pattern for a vehicle?

how is it that the Ion and Cobalt got one of the most popular wheel patterns (4x100) and you guys got stuck with 5x110...is there some kind of technical reason behind the choice.

I’m not the expert but from what I have seen any wheel 16" under is going to get a 4x100. Honestly there really aren’t any other 4 bolt patterns, 2 or 3 others. As for 5 bolt there is a retarded # of them. Now GM could have gone with a 5x100 which would have been nice but I think it had to do with structural integrity for a 5 bolt 18" wheel that would match with other essential GM components that made up the cobalt and that 5x110 is very common for GM (Europe).

I will try to find a more official and defined answer for ya
