No, there're double drilled for 5x100 and 5x114.3 the bolt pattern for the SS and SS S/C is 5x110.

not alot of the wheels I post have a 42 offset, if you mean bolt pattern i found them here.

http://www.tiresdelivered.com/advancedSearch.php? page 3 of a cobalt SS search. They have a 34 offset.

what's the diff between 42 and 45 offset? does it make that much of a difference? stock is 42 on an ss/sc? sorry for the noobie question...but nobody's given me a direct answer anywhere else. :P

the diff is just that 3 mms since stock offset is 42 its considered zero offset for an SS S/C. Ideally you want a wheel with the same offset but sometimes not possible. 45 is considered a positive offset.

"Offset

The offset of a wheel is the distance from the mounting surface of the wheel to the true centerline of the rim. A positive offset means the mounting surface of the wheel is positioned in front of the true centerline of the rim / tire assembly. This in effect brings the tire in to the fender well more. Conversely, a negative offset means the mounting surface of the wheel is behind the true centerline of the rim / tire assembly. This will cause the tire to stick out away from the vehicle."

So with a rim the same width as stock 7", and a 45 offset, the wheel would be brought into the fender by 3 mms. Which is not much even for a 7.5 width wheel. When you get into 38 offset and 8.5 width wheels you can run into problems. hope this helps

thanx man, i think they would look sweet. They have the stock wheel styling (fat 5 spoke) but they got a sweet dish on them. I personally think the black ones with the polished lip would look sick on ur car, but thats up too you.

Only thing I would look out for is the fitment 8.5 is pretty wide and with a 35 offset they would be stickin out a bit. Would look SICK with a wide aggressive stance but there might be issues with full wheel lock.

What is the widest tire that will fit on our car? Comparing the tire width to the offset so that the tire doesn't stick past the fender and it doesn't hit the wheel well. Can we fit a 8" wide tire.

8" with 40 42 45 offset is def possible but I cannot confirm a 8.5" wheel. According to tirerack a 8.5" wheel will fit but then it comes down to the tire. Wish I knew more, hope this helps

You seem to be the resident wheel expert around here the 18" have a 8.5 but the 17" are 8 so i may just go with the 17". 225 or 235 /45ZR17 on there what do you think?

Your right the rims painted black with the polished lip do look sick...now I dont know anymore...

Im no expert but I am on a seemingly never-ending search for the perfect wheel...... honestly i wouldnt go past 8" width, BUT I would wait for 2fastforyouraSS and rick1217 to get their wheels and tires and see what he has to say on the subject. Nothing like first hand experience. If you can wait, i think thats the best way to do it. 17x8 would fit fo sho but they will look small. If you are ok with that and want to avoid any problems with rubbing 17's are a good way to go.

I would PM 2fastforyouraSS and rick1217 to see whats up. For the Tires.....
18x8.5 best fit = 235/40/18
17x8.0 best fit = 235/45/17 - 225/45/17 is a decent size smaller but you will def not have any rubbing issues.

"17x8.0 best fit = 235/45/17"

That is my ideal setup right there. Nice sub 20lbs wheels with wide tires on them. Would be great for a better feel on the road...

I have yet to find a 17X8 wheel that suites my taste, though...
