Tire Opinions

Has anyone used Pirelli P-Zero Nero M&S? I am thinking about getting some nice all weather tires and wanted to know what you guys who live where it snows (like me) use. Im not interested in switching my wheels back and forth, so I am willing to give up some summer performance to get to work in the snow. If youve ever driven on the stock P-Zero's in the snow you know exactly what I am talking about.

Anyway fire away with your tire opinions.

Forget about Pirelli's. Get a dedicated set of snow tires for the winter and lookm into General tire's Exclaim UHP's for the summer. They're like Nitto 555's except half the price.

Tire rack has some 225/45 R18 or 215/45 R18 Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season tires. I am sure they will be better then the Pirellis. I would personally go with the 225/45 tires, every little bit of extra traction you can get is a help with these cars.

225/40/18 is the closest in hight compared to the 215/45/18... the 225 is just a lil bit wider... you dont want to big of a size difference or it will mess up your ABS.
i got the BFG g-force T/A Kdw 2, they are great but are very pricy
BTW perrelli = no traction
all season tires are not snow tires... they just say they are
m/s are no better than summer tires in the snow

Ya man, if you don't want to go with the hassle of mounting tires back and forth in the year, then get a set of steelies and mount some winter tires to those. It's easy to switch wheels...

True, the 225/45 are slightly bigger but not by much, it shouldn't cause any big problems. If you have HPtuner or know someone with it you just have to go into it and change your tire diameter.

The General's are okay......the only thing I don't like about them is the paper thin sidewall. If you compare them unmounted side by side with the 555's, the Generals will feel like crap.

You want your snow tires narrower than your summer tires. This way they tend to cut deeper into the snow and have more psi on the ice. (less surface area ,Think Hydroplaning)
