Tire Weight?

Hello, I have a set of BFGoodrich G-Force Sport tires and would like to know how much an individual one of these tires weight. The Dimensions of my specific tire are 235/40/R18. Thanks in advance!

yup this is one of those times that you actaully have to do some work. If you can take it off and get it weighed that's your best bet.

Yep. This is the best way to go about it. You're on your own, unless someone has that exact tire, n the exact size and already looked it up.

I have all of the tires allready off so I can sell them but dont have the proper scale. I have a person scale but dont know if its accurate to that light of a weight, im thinking less than 15lbs or so. Ill check tirerack soon after this post. Thanks!

Incase Tirerack is missing that information(which I highly doubt they do!!)

Its just a simple math problem.
Your weight+ holding 1 tire- your weight= weight of one tire.

Then add a pound or two so your estimate will favor you so you don't loose money.

One of the best and easiest ways besides the Tire Rack is to head to the manufacturer's web site since most of them will give all the specifications for their tires to include weight. Unfortunately BFGoodrich isn't one of them. Assuming you're talking about one of the g-Force family of tires, if you head over to the BFGoodrich web site, click on the "Details" button for your tire, then select the "SIZE & SPECS" tabs you'll get a lot of info such as what wheel size is recommended or can be used, overall tire diameter, etc., but not the weight.

You could always try sending them an email or call them to see if they can give you an answer. For anyone else wondering about a different tire, a lot of other brands such as Toyo (generally some of the lighter tires on the market, by the way) include weight for their various tires on their web site.
