Tires

I'm looking at tires online and I see there are quite a few 225-40-18 tires, why do some say they are compatible with my car and others aren't.

was looking at a set of 225/40-18 FALKEN ZIEX ZE-612 40R18 R18 40R TIRES but the online tool is saying they aren't compatible with my car.

Rim size is

Size: 18x8
Bolt Pattern: 5-110
Rec. Tire Size: 225/40-18

It will fit, but those tires suck. I have 2 of them and I hate them.

don't know about the ss/sc wheels, but i know the stock ss/tc wheels are 225/40/18

any tire size with that size will fit. i recommend continetal DW tires.

they arent bad i got them twice now, nice looking tire

just do rotations every 3k mark and keeps them fresh, if you get (4)

this info doesnt matter but stock ss/sc - 215/45/18 ss/tc - 225/40/18

i think guys have ran 235-245 on the sc rims and 245-255 on tc ones

and keep in mind some tires even tho they are the same size on paper they can run a little bigger

i know nittos run a bit bigger

If its for the 2008, some tires might be excluded based on Chevy's requirement of a V rating (minimum).
