Just go to Tire Rack http://www.tirerack.com/index.jsp and read up. They have tire reviews written by customers that are really good. Sometimes the cheaper ones are better than the more expensive brand names.
225/40-18 is a good size, will fit on your rims and are cheaper than the size that comes stock on the SS/SC.

Check www.discounttiredirect.com They had the cheapest prices, even beat tirerack. Now they are offering 25 bucks off any 4 tire combo last time I checked. I priced out 4 kumho spts in a 225/40/15 I think at both places and discounttire beat tirerack by like 10 bucks or so.

Oh my. I would recommend the kumho spt (from what others said, not personal experience) or the falken fk 452 (I have those). Both prices are pretty good with the SPT being the cheapest.
