TPMS Question

I plan on buying a set of winter tires/rims from tire rack with the tire pressure sensors already installed on them. My question is will I have to go to a dealer or will the vehicle automatically recognize them? I searched and I understand how to relearn the tire locations by letting air out however I couldnt find a clear answer on if the vehicle will automatically read the new sensors. Thanks for any help

There is a reset procedure to follow as described in the owner's manual. The car won't automatically learn the new sensors, so there is an additional step to follow.
