warranty???

well, heres the damage:

my pops tried to move my car (he cannot drive a stick) . he scratched the CRAP out of my front rim and a little on my rear rim. My rear tire has a huge chunk of rubber off the side of it, i can see what seems to be threading where the chunk is missing.

am i in any way under warranty for something like this?

Check your paperwork that came with your tires, its a road hazard. It might be covered, and if it is, it will be pro-rated. For example, if you bought your tires with costco, you would get a percent of how much tread is left towards a new tire. If the tire is brand new and has 100% tread, you still will have to pay for the state and store tire disposal fee, and taxes. About $13.

I'm going to assume you are referring to the tires being under some sort of tire mfgr warranty, correct??

If so... as tremorz said, to check your paperwork. That is providing you bought your car new. If not... you're on your own I think.

If you're referring to the wheels, then that's a whole other story. I have an SS/SC and those painted wheels don't stay nice if you drive it every day, and the dealer didn't want to help me at all about the flaking blsitering and chipping. They said that it was cuased by debris and not warranty-related damage due to a manufacturing problem.

So... that's my take on it.

Yes, the warranty of Dad, you broke it, you fix it.
