right now i have 225/50/r17s and they rub i was looking at a 40 profile but i dont know if that would be enough if someone could post some pics of there car with a 40 or 35 that would be great

 

i know for my 17x7's the correct size is 225/45

 

^^ He is correct. The height of the tire stays the same as your stock 15s if you go with a 225/45R17 so your speedo wont be off. Depending on how long you've had your current tires you may be in danger of having an inaccurate odometer reading which is bad.

 

but i think that the tire will still rub if its a 45. my tires have been on for 4000 miles or so the speedometer is off but only by like 2 mph

 

i have 225/45/17's and a 2.5" drop and there's no rubbing.at all..

ya that just looks like too much tire. i rub mainly because of the 200+/- pounds of stereo in my trunk

 

ok so i have the stock 18s for the SS S/C and i need new tires and i was trying to get away from the pirelli's that come stock on it so i need some help on which tire brand to buy and what sizes i dont really know much about tires
