What tire is better?

Im looking to get some new tires this week but im not to sure what kind i should get? I have Nitto NT555 tire on right now and they were prety good, but i have been hearing some good things about the Nitto Invos. Anybody have them? and if so how would you compare them to other tires? Throw out some suggestions on tires.

There are a few members that have Invo's. They all say good things about them. I will either be getting the Invo's or NT05's with my new wheels. The Invo's will last a bit longer and ride smoother than NT05's, but the NT05's will grip better and corner better due to having stiffer sidewalls and a stickier rubber compound.

I currently have the NT555's and love them. I originally looked at the INVO but i hear the sidewall is really soft to enhance comfort. So expect to loose a little in cornering. I believe the INVO is more geared towards sport/lux sedans. I'm tempted by the NT05's, but the super soft tread compound and the fact it comes with only 7/32" tread instead of the full 10/32" tread scares me. I'm afraid I'll wear them down like pencil erasers since my car is doing a 70 mile commute to work round trip 6 days a week.

I was realy thinking about the NT05 also but i do a lot of driving back and forth to school through out the week so i would most likely wear them down faster then i would like and also i worry about how they would handle in the rain.

I like the Invo's because they arent directional, NT05's only come in 235/40-17, so wouldnt try them anyway even if they had longer tread life or werent directional. According Nittos own site the INVO is better than the 555.

The Invo's being non-directional is a huge plus because they can be rotated from one side of the car to the other. I find my right front tire wears faster than the left front. Maybe because I don't have a LSD? Being able to rotate them properly is a HUGE upside. I think I will probably go with Invo's. The Nitto Neogen is a good option for people who rack up the miles quickly. They have a tread wear rating of 280 and are still pretty grippy from what I've read. They are also cheaper than NT555's, Invo's, and NT05's.

Here is some good info on the Invo from a Vette forum.

NT05's have the same tread wear rating as RT-615's, but one guy who has tried both prefers the NT05's. Either tire will only last about one summer if you put on many miles though.

I just got 225/40/zr18 Capital Sport UHPs installed about an hour ago and they rock. Really surprised me since I only paid $350.41 all said and done. (They are a private label Michelin)

Michelin's for under $100/tire? Highly doubtful. It sounds like the tire salesman sold you a little BS along with those tires! lol

I've heard bad things about the invo's. From what I understand at the break away hard almost uncontrollably and their wet driving ability is fair at best.

Personally I bought some Korean tires Nankang's and I couldn't be happier. They are the best tires I've had on my car and i've tried quite a few.
