They should fit... but you are going to have a lil bit more wheel and tire sticking out as they will be more pushed out thatn your 38-42 offset.. not a Huge amount but maybe a little noticeable

Anything less then 42 will physically fit. However, once you get past about 35 they start to stick out of the wells too far, and your steering would start to become unstable.

You'll also have a heck of a time keeping your car clean with your tires sticking out a little! Will throw all kinds of dirt and rocks onto your car and the people behind you.

Here is what is going to happen:

So you're going to lose 0.5" of clearance on the inside and the wheels are going to stick out 1" father then they do right now. Is the car lowered? I don't even know if they will fit without rubbing...

if they stick out farther, how would rubbing become an issue? excuse me if im mistaken but i dont think rubbing would be bad unless the wheel was farther in

When you turn. The wheel sticking out will turn right into the side of the wheel well.

it does stick out and is in further.. look at the picture... chances are it might cause problems.. 20's are too big on a balt IMO

What halfcent said, along with IF the car is lowered (which I said earlier) you might have some issues with it rubbing on the fender as well IF the car is lowered, lol. I'll just keep saying IF to make sure you get that.

If you stick with a small enough tire you should be ok I would think. What size tires would you be putting on the 20s or 19s?

i had 18x8 with a 35 offset and mine is lowered and i was cutting my rear tires when i hit bumps in the road . so i think that 20's withthe 35 offset is a real bad idea. you will cut your tires bad. trust me i know i have replaced my kdw's twice.

20x8.5 BAD IDEA!

You can do 20's without issues but the 20x8.5 is moreso the issue... YOU WILL DEFINITELY RUB and you will be poking out tremendously. 1inch doesnt sound like much but your going to look like the old 5.0 mustangs with the reversed wheels.

With a wheel of that width you would have to go with at 255/35/20 tire... too big for the Balt.. (I ran those on my Chevy Blazer) You are not only looking at being one inch wider but one inch taller over all.

If you are looking at 20's you will need to stay with a 20x7.5 wheel. There is a small but decent selection out there for them.. Im looking at 20's myself. With 19's your have a nice seletion also.. the pricing is about the same for 19's as 20's, as the tire prices are a little more expensive for 19's, but they look very nice on a Balt.

any questions you can pm me or talk to other member here with larger wheels.. there is a thread for the 19" wheel club and they can answer questions for you also
