will these fit on my LS?

hey everyone. I found a set of Konig Unknowns for sale locally. I was wondering if they would fit fine on my LS. The tire size is 205/40/R17. Not sure of the offset, how much does that matter? I know its a newbie question, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The tires will definently fit without rubbing. I have that size on my car but get ready for some massive wheel gap with the 40 side wall.

Those are REALLY small tires. I wouldn't go with anything smaller than 225/45/17's. 205/40/17's are 2" smaller than stock SS/SC tires! lol.

Yeah man, bigger tires for sure, and you're gonna have to get lowering springs to avoid that gap.
