Rim size swap - 16" to 18" - issues? Help!?
I don't know squat about rims and what fits/doesn't fit... I searched, but couldn't find exactly what I needed. So...
That said - I drive an '07 Cobalt LT that came with the 16's.
I have the opportunity to buy 4 Motegi 18" rims with new tires already on. He said the bolt patterns are 5 x 100 and 5 x 110 (i'm assuming the front of the car are different from the rear?).
I'm wondering:
A. Will these fit with out any problems or rubbing?
B. Will I have to do anything to my suspension or adjust anything I'm not aware of?
C. Will I have to do anything, assuming there are none of the issues above, other than swap with my current 16"'s and bolt the suckers on?
Lastly, how bad is this going to mess up my speedometer, and/or fuel economy?
Any help is super appreciated.

no that means multi bolt patterns, you can put them either on your car or the supercharged/turbocharged.
but with a 18" rim you want a 18" by 8" with a .42 offset
A. depends on the width of the rim, and offset
B. No
c. nothing at all, unless your lowered and then you MAY have to roll your finders
theres something out there on the internet that can tell you bt i know goinf from a 15-17 it only did it by 1 to 2 kms off and not much difference with the fuel

As Pykie noted:
Your bolt pattern is 5x110. The rims also have a 5x100 pattern to fit on other cars.
Make sure you get the correct offset (38 to 42?) and width (8" maximum)
No suspension mods required
Speedo will be OK only if you get 215/45/18 or 225/40/18. Other tire sizes could be used, but they will slightly affect your speedo.
If you go to a reputable shop, they should be able to guarantee fitment and no effect on your speedo.
