Will these look too weird?

2008 HHR SS with FE5 stock suspension.
I used the calculator and just want a couple opinions. I'm buying a set of 16s and want plenty of tire. I've seen this look on mustangs a lot and older c10s for the old school wide look. I do want wide and meaty but maybe 235s? Also, the 18" wheel and tire size is what I have now. Anyone have any pics? Thanks for any suggestions

Wide meaty is gonna be a 245 or 255. A 235 is only like .5-.75 an inch wider than 225s.

If your stock wheels are 8.5" wide and you want wider tires you need a 16x9 to 16x10 with a 255-275 tire. Not sure if that will fit on an HHR but they seem to have more room than a cobalt

Yeah I have 245 in the picture of the calculator. Just wondering if too wide or goofy looking or if anyone has any pics.

New rims are 16x7 TERMINATOR

on a 16x7, max would be like a 235. Lol. You could probably get away with a 245 though. Why not drop down to a 17 instead of a 16 and run a radial then?

New wheels are too narrow for a 245 and are 1.5" narrower than stock. You wanted a wide look get at least a 9" wide wheel and a 255 or get a 10" wide wheel and a 275.

Already bought the 16x7 lol gotta make work what I can now. Might even lower it a bit to make up the height difference. Had 245 on calc and it about an inch or a little more sticking past rim but on both sides so scared of rubbing. 235 is still a little wider than stock at least.

If lowered, 245s will slightly rub.

I think 235 is best then. And maybe a small spacer to flush them out. What about height I had on the new wheels, that should work?

Can anyone tell me the difference? Both are 40+ offset, 16x7,
5x110. But one has a big ass lip?
Konig Wheel Konig Lace 16X7 5X100/ 114.3 ET40 Black Machine Spoke Wheel
I've already bought 2 16x7 40+ wheels off another member here and was thinking about getting two with the lip for the rear or maybe ordering a 16x8 or a 17x8 to stagger a bit.

It's all if you like them or not that matters

Well I do like them and I guess I'll have to call the manufacturer and see if there's a difference. Thanks fellas for all the responses. I hear that having staggard wheels will throw. a code or keep my wheel sensor lights on.

Yeah was an option in the first years. I believe it's a package and a option for some.
