winter tires on ss/tc

Well last year i went through winter on the stock summer tires, i made it but dont want to do that again. Got me some nordic (cheap brand but will do) 225/50/17's on my 17" rims i finally found that fit. Looks pretty sick, drive good in the snow we got today, but they rub slightly on the pasenger side front fender at the back of the tire when i turn to a cetain point. Guess i gotta wear em down. Rim and tire fill up the wheel well more than the stock 18's i think id go with a 45 next time. but these will do. a little wear and they wont rub.

just a little warning for guys who get 50's they might rub a little on turning.

45 is right aspect ratio to go with for that size... Mine don't rub at all.

nope 17 is the smallest rim that will clear and even them you have to worry about it rubbing the side of the caliper.

Depends on the wheel, but it works with a few. I run a 3mm spacer on the front with mine.

I've never even heard of 17 inch steelies, but yet I'm always surprised. ss/na rims fit for certain. Thats what I have with no spacer.

If you don't mind driving to the GTA, call up Steelcase Tires N' Mags in Markham. They sold me my BSA wheels for cheap ($140/corner).

If you run them at a higher inflation pressure you might be able to get away with it, Depends on how "properly" the tire shop your at does things. I wouldn't recomend it though
