XXR why you know make the 5x110

a Vendor on a local site I am on showed us some upcoming wheels for 2012 from XXR and I well not shocked at all noticed no 5x110 why is that? I mean there are what about 15-20 cars that have the 5x110 bolt patten over what 5 manufactures have they given a reason they do not want to make them for us? or is it that 3 of the Manufactures are no longer around........

what's your guys take on it? I mean I love what XXR has for a wheel selection I just wish we didn't have to spend more/work to get to run them thats all

The 530 looks like the Enkei EKM3, but the other models are pretty "unique"

because you will then have thousands of other wheels you have available to you. Also it's not as much work as you think. Just redrill the hubs and rotors, and move the wheel studs to the new holes in the hubs.

again...... why spend the extra money on that when I don't need to? I see what you are saying just doing that isn't really worth it to me in the long run as I happen to switch cars often

The same reason most smart wheel manufacturers haven't. Because they aren't going to make a cheap wheel that 3 cobalt owners are going to buy. Think about it. Msr's are cheap as hell and everyone buys them. Enkei and OZ make 5x110 and how many sets do you think they sell ? And those are half decent quality. Xxr is already cheap ass wheels, just spend the money and buy some enkei or OZ wheels.

It's not that it struck a nerve, it's just the reality of the situation. These companies are in business to make money and stay in business. It's hard to do to invest in a diminishing market that doesn't spend a whole lot of money in the first place. Margins on this stuff are low in the first place, why spend money in a market where there wouldn't even be a margin?

Exactly what he said. They don't make stuff because people want it. They make stuff because they can sell it.
