Also, the GMPP exhaust and the stock ss/sc exhaust is 2.5" correct? So I would be ok with a 3" DP going into a 2.5" outlet?

 

Ive got the GMPP exhaus man, and thats what Im goign with. Stainless all the way with a 3" dp going into a 2.5 outlet...

 

no the gmpp exhaust is 2.25 inch. I have it on my car as well.

stainless header and dp..any word yet? i want to get this combo and do this GB but why do i get the feeling like something is going to go wrong here...

I got a quick question..I am running a 2.5 catback from magnaflow. Would you run a 2.5 all the way through or should I get the 3" DP to a 2.5?

I know on ZZP website it recommends the header and DP size according to your exhaust but i was not sure if it really made that much of a difference.

 

you won't get the benefit of the 3" dp without supporting mods such as a stage 2 or greater. if you're sc is stock and you have no plans on going stage 2 then just go with the 2.5" all the way.

hm. so you're stage 2. intake i assume is 3"? and gmpp is 2.25" correct? imo, i'd go with the 3" dp and get a new catback that is at least 2.5" but ideally 3". you can go in on the catback from zzp on this gb and just sell the gmpp you have.

a full 3" from header back will net you more power with the supporting mods.

correct me if i'm wrong.

with your current setup you could just go witht he 3" to 2.5"exit bolt on. that'll fit your gmpp. but i'm not sure how much of a gain you'll get because it, i believe, would cause a bottleneck after the cat and into the even smaller catback.

I may be in for the catback 3" stainless as well if I can get the header and dp in stainless. If so I want the 1 3/4" stainless with cat, 3" stainless dp with 3" exit with extra O2 bung for the wide band. Just need to know prices for everything first......

I have the GMPP now and wouldnt mind upsizing from the 2.25" to a full 3" header back exhaust.
