ZZP PCM Install

ordered it black friday, got it wednsday, installed it 5 minutes ago.

it took 30 minutes(3x10minsecurity things). i have gms1 sensors and no 1st boost reduction, set at 22psi.

took it for a drive:1st gear; immediate wheelspin with some hop at the end(im gonna need the ottps2 upgrade), short shifted to 2nd; spun til about 5700 when i short shifted to 3rd;rolled into third and it brook loose so i let off.

its like 40* out, and my brother said i was right 25-24psi. i watched the gauge on a couple pulls and he wasnt lying lol. im either getting matt to tune over in january or im getting john at six sigma to tune over.

discuss.

I have a 24psi tune from them and it is also the same as what they run so more then likey you got this tune. I have had it for 6,5xx miles and I am running strong

horrible horsepower numbers. you are gonna want to run 28 psi as a daily tune from what ive read. you probably shouldnt go over 24 psi on stock internals. you need a trifecta tune man with some logs or hp tune or something. a canned tune for your tc is a bad idea id say.

edit horsepower at 285 isnt horrible but ive seen guys getting over 300 at 24 psi

It's just the base tune, only power mod I have is a downpipe. I'm sure once matt tunes it, I'll be in better shape.

So whats the point of even going with the ZZP PCM to begin with if you have to retune it? Not specifically saying this to the OP, but it seems that many people get these and after all is said and done, end up having it retuned with the HPT, etc because of idling problems, sputtering in higher RPMS, other
