ZZP S3 heat exchanger

I ordered one about a year back, and have only drove my car maybe 4 months out of the year. But the fins on the front of my H/E got mangled up pretty bad. I was wondering if anyone else had the same issue? I am in NO WAY bashing ZZP, I think they are a great company and I will definately be purchasing more from them in the future. I emailed ZZP about it and they said its not really normal. It could be bugs or rocks or anything. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem?

Well its like ZZP said, its probably just rocks and bugs. Particularly large ones maybe? A good idea would be to invest in the 2.4SS lower grille.

I have it on mine and my h/e is in pretty good shape still. It seems to be pretty darn expensive these days though:

Never had an issue with the fins crushing. My issue is it leaks on both ends.
