My cavalier is sick, I think.

So When I am accelerating, it doesnt sound like I am getting the full potential of the car, it sounds EXTREMELY bogged down, could relate it to a noise if something was being blocked, and the car vibrates a little, I can tell because the rear view mirror vibrates alot only when accelerating. My mom has a G5 and it has the same engine, and it sounds and feels a WHOLE lot different and powerful , so I know SOMETHING is wrong.

What could be causing it to be making this bogged down noise, like something is being restricted.

Ive checked the air filter and all is fine there.

Could a tuneup fix this problem?

Its an 04 5spd 2.2

Its not throwing any codes? Maybe its a fuel filter or spark plugs.

First thing I'd do, change the plugs, and clean the MAF, then reset the PCM and see where that gets you

Does the exaust sound restricted, if so my first guess would be the cat. Let your car run for a while revving on it a few times and then look under your car to see if the cat is glowing red. If so its clogged.

check the Throttle Body. How many miles does your car have? Those same symptoms could be related to a dirty throttle body.

The MAF sensor comes right after the air filter somewhere on the intake before the throttle body.

need to get codes checked..just cus it isnt throwing a light doesnt mean a code isnt set...doubt its a fuel filter..injector is likely..but those things will usually cause a miss...and a clogged cat will set an 02 code( when it gets THAT bad )
