Can anybody recommend the best dealership in saint louis area to get the stage 2 kit installed? I just bought my car like 2 day ago and I'm already itching to throw mods at it! I'm anxious to learn all I can about these cars.................I'm a mustang fox body 5.0 guy for the most part....I have a 88 LX hatch with H/C/I and some other goodies that runs pretty good and I do all my work myself, but from what I've read up about upgrading the cobalt to stage 2 trim, it can only be done at a dealership? ghey...

Hey is this Chris? My girlfriend told me that one of her friends boyfriends bought a black SS. She goes to Logan College. Its Lucas, we've talked a few times at get togethers. I just got me stage 2 kit installed a few weeks ago. I got it done in Rolla at the dealership down there so I couldn't tell you about the shops up here.

We get together every Thursday night down in Chesterfeild. We meet up at Sonic or in Lowes parking lot. You should roll down there and kick it with us.

PM me and I'll tell you when were going down there,
Later

Lucas

Yeah I did, I can't argue with that. 720 for the full install, Tune and Parts. I can't complain to much on that.

Skip stage 2, go big or go home, lol.

I was going to get stage 2 for a while, then started doing more research... I changed my mind to say the least. Stage 2 is a decent start if you dont plan on going smaller than a 2.8, and even then, you will need a good tune, you will be close to maxing out the injectors.

But its great if you want to be a little quicker while not worrying about your warranty!

Ya take me for example, i have 4 mods(Injectors, Tune, 2.85" Pulley, catback) and my car was pulling stock LS2 goats last summer, my tuner worked miracles with my car, i need another tune now though for this summer. The best was when i was on Nitrous!!! Hehe, If only i would have went to the track with it though.............Now that is going big.

But stage II is good if you want to keep your warranty or maybe only pulley down to a 2.9" with full exhaust and intake.

Stage 2 is plenty for me, I mainly bought this car to improve my credit and have a reliable daily, but I am a speed nut. I have my Fox 5.0 mustang for when I feel like going fast............fully built 302 with race ported aluminum heads, big roller cam, gt40 intake, long tubes, yada yada yada you get the point.

So far I've already done Injen CAI, and I'm ordering full exhaust soon, then the stage 2 goes on last with a 2.9" pulley and I'm gonna call it done.

Going big would be getting a custom turbo...along with a nice built up engine to go alongside it.

Yours isnt anything id "wow" over....but its still a hell of a start.
