I got a 07 cobalt ss/sc and i just bought an CAI. IF i install it myself does that void my warranty? or do i have to have the dealership install it for me?

if you're worried about warranty, stay stock. doesn't matter who installs it, if the dealer is a dick and doesn't want to fix it they will blame your intake.

that being said, supposedly NO parts can void your warranty except for the part you put on, and if the part you put on is responsible for the damage it won't be covered. supposedly.

This is correct. For example, if you install a cai and your clutch goes out 30k miles later from now, your clutch is covered. However the cold air intake, will only be covered by who you bought it from, not gm.

i answered you question in my first post. no, it will not technically void your "warrenty", just like no part will "technically" void your warrenty.

Just go for it. If you don't mess up any sensors, you're fine. And if you are careful, you won't mess anything up.

Its just an intake, its not really a big deal.
