So i bought my used cobalt ss/sc with 6500 miles on it from a dealership in wisconsin and since the two weeks i have owned it here are a list of problems i have

1) CEL light keeps coming on and off
2) When the radio is on i cannot eject a CD and then when i try to go back and play the cd it says there is no cd in there
3) my passanger visor is not secured into the ceiling
4) i have horrible clutch slip when im WOT
5) My cruise control has never work
6) My power mirrors have never worked

Im taking it into my dealership tommarow and i am telling them to go over the entire car

oh and on the inside of my front fender lining it is all like frayed and looks melted kinda....Im guessing the person before me drove it like an idiot...ugh idk what to do now

will GM replace the clutch if it is all burnt up?

 

did you inspect it before you bought it? if it only has 6500 miles then take it in for warranty work...did you get the CEL checked?

 

I've heard a few people complain about their cruise control going out, but none of the others you listed. Hope you get everything sorted out.

They should fix everything with that low of miles! The clutch may be a bit of a fight but still only 6500 miles!

 

Where did you buy this car? Get your CEL checked either at the dealer when you go or at Autozone and let us know what code(s) your car is throwing. The cruise control should be an easy warrenty fix but I am not sure of the mirrors. When you buy used cars you really need to check them out thourghly to avoid these issues.

 

I bought it from Holz Chevrolet on Hwy 100, my dad has bought 15-18 cars from them for work and he knows some people high up there so im pretty sure they will put everything under warrenty.

 

Ive had the CD problem on and off.. occationally the CD doesnt like to come out, so I Just stick another one in and both come out lol
but I Have 111,000km on my car

 

If you pull the radio fuse for 10 sec and put it back in the CD should eject. The cruise control issue is a clutch switch i believe.

 

My dad took it to GM today and this is whats going on

They said i am getting a CEL because i am running to lean because i did the airbox mod
They are replacing my radio
They are putting in a new visor
And the reason my cruise and power mirrors dont work is because when my car was put together someone didnt put a harness around the wires in the door and they wore through and shorted out.

they are replacing it all under warrenty

Oh and i already figured out why my clutch sliped so bad...damn lead foot

Got a call from the dealership today...they didnt get all the parts in and i wont get my car back till Monday
