Just make sure you don't get all "Crazy Excited" with the Oil and you should be fine...

It doesn't void anything. It's a damn air filter.

The filter comes in a sealed bag with "oil" or lube already on the seals.

Mine was oiled just fine. No oil on my maf and no CEL. I have had it in for about 7 months now. Sometimes when you get a k and n there will oil all over the rubber parts and the package it came in. You need to wash those filters and re apply a light coat of oil.

A CAI would be the only air related product that could even be slightly considered tampering with the system. A drop in filter voiding the warranty is like saying adding rubber floormats not approved by GM will void it. Watch out for those air fresheners too.

You have a 2.4 right? You notice any improvements? Performance OR mileage? We had one in the Mustang and it was a very slight improvement. I know it's just a filter...but I'm just curious.

Same as me. 2006 SS 2.4, auto. I always use 93, and don't really drive all that hard. I just don't commute on the highway. All around town, plus there's nothing but hills around here. I get about 19mpg usually as a round-about number.

A little more "snot"? lol.

I am pretty sure a part a user must replace with in OE specs cannot void your warrenty...

A high flow air filter will not void your warrenty or else GM would need to give you a new air filter every 20,000 miles...

Same thing is with brakes...

Holy shnikies,
I drive my car really hard and still average 25 around town and 34.5 on the road. That's with the injen cai. It went up about 3 mpg since I put it on. Plus the engine runs about 5 degrees cooler.......
