Question tach install help

I have an 07 ss/sc and i want to install a tach with a shift light. I picked up the faze one and i wanted to know if any1 knew where to connect the wires. the power and the ground are common sense but i dont know where to wire the tach output lead (green) and the illumination wire. Does any1 has a picture or diagram of where to connect it 2.

well my tach has a 2 cylinder setting but i dont know if i could just tap the signal wire to the coil pack for cylinder 1 and 2 or if it would work from just cylinder 1. I know it can be done its just hard to find someone who has done it right.

Why not just hook up a programmable shift light without adding a big gay ricer tach?

Its easy to hook up. Get the autometer tach adapter, part #9117. all you have to do is cut and splice in the adapter to one of the wires that go to the coil packs.. i want to say the pink one, but its been a while since i did it. Call autometer, they'll be able to tell you exactly which one. The adapter has a grey wire that runs to the signal wire to the tach (usually green on autometer) The tach should then be calibrated for 4cyl.

This seems to be very accurate this is exactly what autometer told me but the problem I am having is I already spent enough cash on this I don't want to spend another $80 on the #9117 adapter . Has anybody found a true reading output from ecu. Or in cluster anywhere . HELP!!!!
