Hello, my name is Mike. I just took over a pre-orderded Blue Cobalt SS Supercharged at my dealer this week. I had a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero 2 Door with the 2.2L Ecotec and 5-Speed manual before. I loved that car, ecspecially the engine. I got it down to 15.21 @ 88.91 MPH in the 1.4 mile with only a CAI, Cat-back exhaust and lowered suspension. I had just put in KYB GR2's on all 4 corners and a front STB a week before........CRUNCH!

While trying to go to the North American International Autoshow in Detroit a 40ft USPS mail Truck hit me and wrote off my alero. Luckily I had a clause in my insurance to get the full value back of my car if this happened within the first 2 years of my ownership.

So now I just wait for my Cobalt to arrive!!!! THIS SITE LOOKS AWESOME AND WELL ALID OUT! I am a member of many a forum and this forum looks well made for sure! Far better then another Cobalt Forum I saw.

So I am here to represent the Canadian Cobalt owners! I only know b-spot on here so far....he's a former alero owner too.

Welcome to the site Mike! Sorry to hear about your old car and I hope you are alright, but big congrats on ordering a Blue SS. All of us here cannot wait to get our hands on one so as soon as you take delivery of it, please please post all the pictures you can!

Well from all that I have read online and in Car and Driver magazine....That option isn't supposed to be available until sometime this fall or early next year. I can't wait that long, so I'll just make do with my as is for now. An LSD could always be added down the road.

You guys see the official brochure yet? My dealership got them in on Monday. The pics in them look awesome!!!
