Hey, my dad swears by Ams oil. I use it and it's a good oil, but he says that it should be good for 20,000 or 25,000 miles with just changing the oil filter every 5,000 miles or so. I personally think that I should still change the oil and filter every 4-7,000 miles. What do you guys think?

And my car's a 06 SS/SC and the oil is synthetic of course (Not sure if that's relevant, but just in case anybody is wondering)

25,000! yikes, change it every 3-5k

 

I've heard that its good for 10K+, but I would be hesitant to run it to 20K. lol

Is this a serious question?? Change your oil AND your oil filter every 3,500-5,000 miles. And make sure you always use synthetic

 

The only reason i would push my oil 10K miles was if it cost $1000 dollars to change it lol. For the 40 bucks it cost's me , it's more peace of mind doing it between 4-5k.
