I'm running 255s on my Cougar... so I hope I can run at least 235s on the Cobalt when I get one...

Anyone try it?

Pros - wider tire, more rubber, better traction and handling
cons - 235's meant for 8-9.5 inch rim, I have been told 7.5 is the smallest you should go. potenially some buldge in the tire.

Rubbing supposedly isn't an issue.

235/40 will work on a stock rim. They really don't bulge at all. I just picked up the Goodyear Eagle F1's and there are no problems with these tires on the rims. Although finding someone to mount them for you might be a little bit of a problem.
