how bad can a exhaust leak hurt performance?
well i have had this custom 3" no resonator a while and on cold days when i start up it starts perfect but when it turns over the exhaust makes a wild sound then quitets down....
Ive lived with that but today i was driving w/ the windows down (nice day) and herd a leak coming out the exhaust in WOT even thoe i dont car because im tired of 3" anyways (getting magnaflow catback) how much power do you think are cars lose from this?

A nice day? Windows down? WTF>.... its liek 25 degree's out...
I say it depends on the size of the leak if any. Personally I dont think you have a leak, I just think your exaust is really free flowing/loud. If you had a leak you would hear/know it when driving, and not just when you start your car.

No actually you will, i have the 2.5" magnaflow, and i have an exhaust leak. When i start the car up, and its cold, you can hear it, but after it heats up, the metal expands and closes the leak. the Manaflow comes in 2 peices, and where the 2 peices are clamped, it leaks when its cold. You can look underneath the car and see water coming out where the clamp is. I think Monday, i am going to have it welded together instead of clamped.
I do not think that it is bad to say but it can be bad for you. The reason that they have it exit out the back is becuase the gas can make you fall asleep at the wheel. So I would say if you had a really bad leak and it was getting into the car then it would be bad for you. By the way it can be orderless so you will not know if it is getting in to the cab of the car.
