Game I play With My Black Balt

I dunno if you guys do this or im just weird but i have a sedan LS and when i first bought it i was getting 32-35 MPG average but then i put my winter tires on and bam my gass millage went down to 28-30. I've notice when i live my DIC screen on MPG it makes me drive with the shfit light to save gas. Im up to 32.0 MPG w00t above average for my winter tires. anyone else do this :P

I have an auto, but I have noticed that when I leave the display on MPG, I do tend to ease up on the stupid pedal. But coming from a 12-MPG truck, it would take a REALLY bad reading to shock me in this car!!

i like to start out reallly fast, reset the DIC, then just coast for like a half a mile/mile... the DIC goes up to 99 MPH and then see how high I can keep it... i had it at about 67 MPG for about 1/2 an hour once, hilly area not really pressing the gas too much..

I don't know what it is but im only averaging 22-24 mpg on the highway and I live in south florida and drive the Florida Turnpike pretty frequently and even if I reset the MPG menu before I get on I cant get it over 27 like I did when I first bought the car. Anyone else having MPG problems?

those denalis are fun especially to street race in. I've had my parents' up to 105mph on the interstate. it wasn't even stressin to do it either

Meh, I don't even bother checking the fuel econ. MY RX7 sucked down gas like nothing, so the Cobalt is like a blessing on the wallet no matter how hard I push it.

That's what I usually get for the highway. That's why I like to reset the gas mileage counters on long trips so I average 37, 38 mpg, but then reality hits as soon as I get off the expressways...

I too play the "No Boost" game. Especially in city driving.

Average 25.4 MPG as of this morning.

i average about 27 on my 45 mi highway, 5 city drive into and back from work each morning. average about 66 doing that. damn shame the mileage in the DIC is almost always overstated. I have all but 3 tanks of gas i've used in 21500 miles, and all the mileages associated with them logged on a spreadsheet. the DIC consistently rates between .8 and 1.6 mpg higher than actual usage based on mileage/fuel consumption.
