i got bad news today from my g.m dealer IN TORONTO and spoke to there gm rep, and told me that cobalts ss/sc are on hold to futher notice a build date was NOT givin,............ this is A BIG JOKE........... GM SHOULD PULL THE PLUG ON MARKETING THIS BEING AVAILABLE, PEOPLE CALL UR DEALER TO FIND OUT OR CALL GM CANADA WITH U ORDER# DID ANYBODY HERE THIS TOO IN CANADA

 

thats strange because another thread says that there is five ss/sc currently in transit coming to toronto

I had one on order, original delivery date was Mid October, then 1st week of November, and am now told it's still not built and can't confirm a date in November. I was told they build a batch (say 20) and send them out to dealers as demos, so there are some around. The ones everyone has on order have not been built yet so I have decided to get a dealer trade and getting one with 50km on it. At least I'll have exactly what I want by the end of this week instead of 'god knows when'. Yipeeee! Can't wait

No way! Don't do that!
I was going to buy the RSX-S too, since last year I wanted it - but do your research! You get a lot more bang for your buck with the SS, and when you build up the RSX-S to have what the fully loaded SS has, your paying close to $40,000, NO ****.

Not to mention, the cobalt has a nicer 'ass'

The only downside is the RSX-S has heated seats/mirrors. That's it. Oh, and the pretty little Acura logo. I just gave back my Acura (end of lease) and won't go near Acura again. By the way, the horsepower may be the same on both, but the Cobalt will kick ass at takeoff, just check out the torque etc. and you'll see

 

ya ive been waiting for 2 months, gonna go the dealer after work to get it traced, my dealer said in the next week or 2 so im crossin my fingers.

 

ok , just got off the phone with my dealer and he dosnt know and he pretty much said Gm dosnt really know what they are doin either, all he said was i should get it b4 xmas......

 

I know the cars haven't even begun being made yet. You may get it before Christmas, but hey, what if you don't? Can you wait? My dealer was kind enuf to ask if he should look around for another one sitting somewhere, and indeed he found exactly the same as I had ordered from the factory, except no side airbags. I can live without that luxury. Why don't you ask you dealer to do the same? You may get what you want quicker. From the day he found it it's only taking a week (ie. this Thursday). It will of course, have 200km on it from the drive up, but he's adding those kms to my lease.

 

That's funny cause I just saw a truck on the QEW carrying at least 4 SS/SC, just last week. Wonder where they went?

I order my 2006 on sept.17 and they said by christmas......I better call my dealership!!!!

 

so if i ordered mine august 11th i should get it in the beginning/middle of november??

Huh, for some reason you guys up north must have much longer wait times Hopefully the wait will be well worth it

I do know that the laser blue orders will be a much longer wait. My wife ordered her SS 2.4 September 6th and she still doesn't have a build date.

Well I am out of Vancouver BC and I was lucky to get my hands on a 2006 black SS/SC with red inserts. I have to say though I have not seen any in the city yet. Feels good to be driving something that not every other person has.

 

Can't this thread be locked so people stop posting on it. It is so dated it makes me angry.
