This past weekend i installed new brighter bulbs. I started with the drivers side that went ok now the pass. side didnt want to come out grr. Finally got it out unscrewed the retainer cap "counterclockwise" The piece that the retainer locks into cracked when i was unscrewing it. WTF GM!!!! So today i went to the dealer an explained what happened. The warranty does not cover that If i got a new headlight it would be $160 forget that. Im going to ebay i saw some cheaper then that. Im having a rotten day!

 

I hit a pothole (read: crator) and ruined a $220 tire. I hear ya on the rotton day!

sorry to hear that....i've been hearing that these headlights are a major b*tch to do anything with...hope everything works out for the better

 

Ya, doing work yourself can really suck sometimes. The only thing that i can say is to take your time and be vary careful. If you can somehow prove that it was not of your doing that caused the plastic to brake then GM should replace that peace. The burden of prove is on you.
