Motor Swap

I am hopeing to be doing a swap here soon in my 09 LT. I wasnt able to find a thread searching so if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be great. I want to swap a ss/sc in my car and the same with the rear end to get some disc brakes back there. I am completely new to cobalt tuneing but not cars so any info would be great. thanks in advance

so you want to swap in the 2.0 SC into your 2.2 Cobalt? If this is the case, its not worth the time or money. You're better off buying a turbo or an old super charger off an SS/SC.

not going to happen. do a search on it. if you have enough money to put a ss/sc engine in your car and get it to work, you have enough money to sell your car, buy an ss/sc, and spend all the leftover money on mods... and a downpayment for a house.

what they said. Definitely not worth doing a swap. Turbo your 2.2 instead and you'll beat those LSJs!

Or like said before, buy an 09 SS

Is it seriously that bad? I come from Fox mustangs and hondas. So I would be better off building up the stocker? I bought the car for the mileage because I travel ALOT for work. I told myself not to mod but ya, you know how that goes.

You would also need either the 2.0 trans, or custom flywheel. The CPU, as well as a bunch of other stuff. It's not like you can just take the motor and drop it in.
