Would someone please knock on your boost bypass actuator? Its the black thing on the top right of the supercharger.. Looks like a cylinder... Has 2 hoses going in and out of it.

Reason I am asking is because I am having a severe boost loss problem and when I knock on mine it sounds like it has rocks or something or its hollow inside. Could someone do this and tell me if theirs sounds solid? I'd REALLY appreciate it!

that's not the solenoid...that's the actuator.

my has no rattle sound when knocked upon. it prob is somewhat hollow for the boost to escape...

 

does it sound as if your knockin on anything else plastic or does it sound a little different?

 

nope. im thinkin theres def somethin wrong with yours :-/

 

it's a spring loaded diaphragm, you're probably hearing the spring rattle, probably need a new one if it can't move properly as it should. it's what closes off the manifold from the intake of the supercharger so you can build full pressure.
