Clutch feels weird after hwy driving. any ideas?
Sup guys. My clutch is just fine around normal city driving, smooth and soft as it should be. But after some highway driving, like just cruising for like 25 minutes or so( not down shifting at all ) when I get off an exit, it gets really stiff and is kind of hard to drive. After a few minutes of driving it in the city again, it comes back to normal. Anyone one know the cause of this?
our clutches do weird things, its all part of the self adjusting pressure plate. with mine, if you stomp it in 1st, when you push it in to shift to 2nd its vert stiff and the pedal comes back halfway. it will stay that low and be stiff till you drive normal and it will come back with 3-4 times having the clutch in. it will also occasionally get stiff after a long freeway drive. i had the exact thing happening with an 06 f250 that was in my shop a couple weeks ago, they have a SAC pressure plate aswell.
if you want ot get away from it, get a non sac style clutch, such as a spec non sac, exedy hyper single, or centerforce.
