Finally painted my blower

I've always wanted to do this, but just never found the time. When Spring changeover an maintenance came this year, I was doing a Pulley, Plugs, filter, MAF and TB cleaning so I figured why not give it a shot.

Yeah I should have detailed and washed up the engine bay a bit.... next time

Picz

The IDI cover I just did a really quick hack job on.... I think I'm gonna pull it and redo it, better, I like how it matches the blower

For reference heres my other option, the SMSC cover with Sunburst orange backplate

And Yeah I know my helmet is ghetto, but They haven't flagged it at a track day yet

Anyways, Lemme hear it, the good and the ugly

Looks awesome man! I love that hood. I wanna get the same one. Quick question though, you must get a shitload of water in that engine bay when it rains huh?

Its not too bad, when its parked and its raining it basically just washes the blower. I haven't had any problems yet, thru Fall, Winter and so far in Spring. Really though, our air filters are in the fender, so as long as the PCM/fuses and coils arent getting to wet it should be all good

Buy a spare valve cover to powdercoat then sell the one that's on it now. No downtime and little out of pocket expense.
