So u planning on cutting those little pillars in front of the headlights or just painting them. That's gonna be some project if you cut them

OP...is ur car an SS? Or are you just using an LS bumper? Nice work...it flows better with the yellow eyelids.

Do only problem with cutting the pillars is the grille. How are you gonna extend it to the headlights? Are the pillars attached to the frame in the engine bay edge? Will it loosen the stiffness of the bumper? It's a very good idea and would look awesome but some things you have to take in consideration. I would problably use some black electrical tape and apply to the pillars to see how it would look painted. I think painting would be ur best bet.

only downfall with the painting is that looking at it from the side... u will lose every bit of the sleek flow its going to have. i have been thinkin this route through and i think im cutting it.. applying reinforments behind the grille for the bumper, and then just mocking and old billet horizontal grill and painting it black... its going to be tough... but also filling where cutting the arms with a guy who made the dual cutout bumper for his exhaust on his sssc... and no.. im just an LT good news is if it goes bad... i can tell the wife i need an SS front bumper to put the lip kit on lol i'll keep ya posted.

^^^Agree 100%, a little brother for the Camaro

Damn, that looks sick! Total change to the front end, makes it look lower, wider, meaner, sexier

Don't know how you are going to hold all that plastic together if you cut out the sides of the current grill opening though. Maybe where it sits on the bumper (the steel bumper under the plastic) will be enough?

Either way you do this (paint or sawzall ) it is going to look sweeeeeeeet

I agree that the chop would look better than painted, i am not good with body work so i doubt i would try to do it myself, you should hook us up with a how-to on it
