Someone please explain why I have to have my 2.8 pulley machined on
my supercharger? There is a tool (OTTP) to pull the pulley off but it has to be machined
on...WTF does this mean? I can not find anyone in the Dallas, TX that will do this
and I am dying to get it done!!!!

should just have to press the hubon, then bolt the pulley on. only 2.5s need to have the snout machined so they will fit. zzp and intense racing sell removal/installer tools.

 

pulley puller takes it off and anything above a 2.5 gets pressed on as stated above. 2.5 and lower has to have the snout of the sc machined do to the clearence of the inside of the pulley

 

so does the ottp puller also press on the hub for say a 2.8"er?

 

yes it will also press it on, use LOTTTTTTSSSSS on anit sieze or you can just take it to the dealer and they'll do it for like $20

 

freeze blower in fridge over night, boil pulley in water in the am, then put the two together with neverseize and pulley installer. the pulley has to be a tight fit.
