ok just installed my cti 3inch downpipe on my gmpp exhaust yesterday. everything was nice. s/c was screamin loud and everything but i took it for a drive today and started off fine and all of a sudden the s/c got quieter and it has a little crackeling noise and doesnt sound like its from the exhaust. it only makes the noise when i give it more gas.. any clues?

 

Is the car running like ****? maybe it is you intake/filter?

 

it doesnt seem to be boosting as hard i guess but it shouldnt be the intake or filter i just got it not even 1k miles ago got it less than a month ago.

 

could it be something to do with going from 3" d/p to a 2.25 inch exhaust?

Well an exhaust system shouldn't cause boost drops, etc. Did you blow a CEL that put your car in limp mode?

 

its not in limp mode. as for the cel light ive had one for a while just gotta clear it ill see if it comes back on

 

I just got on it the other day and blew both of my left side wheel bearings (loud popping) or it could be your clutch going out? does it go away when you push in the clutch? IDK need more info

yeh most CEL won't put ur car into limp mod, especially exhaust. Go take her for a cruise and get that code again and let us know what it is. I'm guess it is only a p0420, CAt deffiencey or whatever. nothing that is goign to cause what you have going on. But give it a try.

 

ok well ill clear the cel tomorrow and see if it comes back on and then go from there
