Angry Stock Clutch Adjustment?

Make a long story short,
I've been having a problem with my clutch since day one with my car. Say there is 4 inches of travel in the clutch pedal from top to bottom. My clutch doesn’t even begin to bite until the last 1/2-1" of upward travel. I took it to the dealership to be checked out along with several other problems. The tech guy tells me that this is normal for this car, and that there is no way to adjust the clutch itself or the pedal in this car.

Is the tech guy right or just trying to give me the old reach around....?

Anyone else encounter this problem with his or her clutch?
Any input is appreciated!

Mine feels the same way, doesn't really bother me since it's the only manual I've had.

Mine has always grabbed at the very top of the pedal since day one as well.

It's a hydraulic clutch. There is no adjustment. So yes, this is normal.

Stage 3+ Spec clutch installed and the same thing as far as engaging 1inch to 1/2 inch from the top. Nothing wrong with it, just like everyone else.

I know how you feel, going from a Cable to Hydraulic clutch has been an annoying thing for me, I don't like how the clutch throw feels like a Truck's... this problem would be a nice thing for a vendor to take on...
