Any clutch ideas?

What can I do for my clutch. I miss it so bad! My clutch feels so loose its not funny =\ I want the tension back in it can I upgrade to an aftermarket one or should I look at just replacing it with a GM one in a year or what? I have only had my car 3 months, its got about 5600 miles so far. I drove 2 SS/SC's last night at the track and man I miss that clutch!

Any opinions on either of these clutches? I dont want to pay an arm, leg, and head if its not going to be worth it

i have heard mixed reviews on spec but mainly good ones. id say either the 2+ or 3+ if its ur daily driver. as for centerforce ive heard nothing but good things. these clutches are really expensive and i really dont know why. i mean you can get a clutch for a 4.6 stang for like 300. and for a silly 2.0 ss its like 700 with out a flywheel.

Spec and Clutchmasters are both very good, not sure about centerforce as for the Cavalier/Sunfire models, they are very disliked.

your clutch may be under warranty still
most dealers DO cover bad clutches until 6 or 8k, i would check into it

is your clutch slipping or did it just loosen up? A brand new clutch has to be warn in, unless you plan on replacing your clutch every 3 weeks, your always gonna have that feeling. Even after a spec wears in it will have that feeling. You should define "loose" a little more clearly, but it sounds to me like it just wore in. I actually prefer that. When I shift its really smooth and when I get on it it engages so quickly. Gonna have to learn to deal man.

Also you can adjust the pressure of the pedal by bleeding your clutch slave cyclinder. This will help with the "loose" feeling a bit.
