Painted Bow tie
Painted Bow tie
Im just wondering what you guys have used to paint your Bowties? Im thinking about painting mine to match the car, and I wanted to see what methods you guys used. I have a thing of touch up paint I bought a few weeks ago for some chips. The only thing is it only comes with that stupid little brush....Im assuming Id get stroke marks? Did you guys spray your emblems or what? Thanks for the advice.
theres a how to guide on this in that forum. I used duplicolour GM Black and duplicolor clear coat, it turned out pretty decent. Itll work much better if u take the gold bowtie off the chrome piece (i regret not doing this as I just taped the chrome section and when i peeled off the tape, it was rough near the edges).
it easier just to tape off the chrome with painters tape. I used 8 coats of krylon paint for plastics and 10 coats of dupli-color clear coat for trucks & SUVs.

Alright, thats what I figured, but I didnt think Id be able to find an exact match to my Imperial blue. However, I just searched duplicolors website and found its much easier than I thought to get an exact match, so that probably what Ill do. Thanks for the input.
