Dealerships Whos good whos bad
Kinda been thinking this might be a good place to post up what dealerships treat us right or just flat blow us off with our problems.Might give us some extra kick if the dealers see there names being tossed around .Im getting ready myself to go back to the dealer on the wheel paint deal this might be interesting.
I went to Pine Belt in Freehold,NJ... the salesman kicked ass...he was cool as hell...the service dudes in the back are great too... The manager happens to b a ********... They couldn't find the car i wanted...
Ocean Motors in Toms River, NJ kicks ass!... They had the exact car i wanted (used...but only 8k miles on it)...they gave me a good deal...filled my gas tank...gave me a Free Car wash because it started to rain and after they washed it before they gave it to me it got A LITTLE wet....next time i go back they'll wash it for me for nothing...great guys over there...

hustedt chevy...Thumbs down...they backed my car up into a transmission crate and scrached it then refused to give me a rental while they fixed the bumper....service sucks...sales is okay.
Vandergriff Chevorlet in Arlington, TX is a GREAT dealership. They always have the parts I need and there service is excellent. Everyone is always courteous and willing to help out. I bought my car from them too and had no problems in the buying process. I have taken my car there for an oil change(2nd oil change, couldn't find the 32mm short socket) and I was in and out in maybe 15 minutes tops. And another great feature is that they had a few cobalts in stock with manual transmissions. I looked around the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex for awhile before I found my car and ran into dealer after dealer with nothing but automatics in stock. Nothing against autos but I love shifting and want to enjoy driving.
Powell Chevrolet in Duncanville, TX... Well, it's an okay dealership. They have the parts sometimes but I wouldn't take my car there for service work. I took my Cobalt there for an oil change(couldn't find the 32 mm short socket) and it took them an hour and a half to do it. Also, the service advisor gave me a little grief for wanting to do the first oil change at 1,000 miles. Even said it was a waste of money to do it that early.
BTW, if anyone needs the 32mm short socket for the oil changes, I ordered mine from Mac Tools online. It is definately worth it. I couldn't find the site but here it is from SnapOn. http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item....re&dir=catalog

Hometown Chevrolet in Whitehall NY was EXCELLENT. I needed a new car and they got me into one. Their service department is tops too, but I rarely use them as they are over an hour away.
Adirondack Chevrolet in Elizabethtown NY has a great service department but their sales stuff is a bunch of absolute peckerheads. I had originally ordered my Cobalt coupe through them, but they felt that I couldn't get financed for one, so they changed my order from a 5speed coupe with aluminum wheels and sunroof to a base coupe with an automatic and no spoiler. I was very digusted when my brother (who's a mechanic there) called to tell me the car had arrived and that I was not going to like it. He was right. They have also given my mom the runaround on a Cobalt coupe she was very interested in.
Not that this means anything to anyone outside of northern NY... this is just my two cents.
