yup^^^

if you don't have it, you're better of going aftermarket. You can't even wire one up on your car (even if it's an 09) since the wiring is different. It has been proven.

This topic is also currently in the LNF Tech section. Here is my post to that: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...ss#post3953258

It's now been done apparently. Here's the original post.

If you don't have it its not worth it to buy it. Go get a triple gauge pillar and two interceptors.. trust me you won't be disapointed

Do you mean the one on the RPD? Then yes. The one on the instrument panel doesn't work on our model.

Just turn the knob until you get to the menu. Then select shift light (or something like that) by pushing the knob once and then rotating to highlight the option and pushing the button again to select the option.

After you set it in the menu, go back to its default display mode. Then you push the button once and turn to bring up the shift indicator (push again once to resume normal operation of the other half of the screen). Wanted to put that part in there just in case.. had trouble understanding what you were needing.

As far as programming the shift light itself, the lower number is the lowest RPM that begins to register on the vertical colored bar. The upper number that you set for the gear is the highest RPM that begins to register on the vertical bar. Set the upper number to the RPM you want it to light up at for each particular gear.

It doesn't make the screen flash or anything so don't be looking for anything like that. What happens is as your RPM rises, it keeps coloring up and up the vertical bar until you reach your shift point RPM you set. When that happens, the triangle at the top of the bar will light up red, and you shift.

Just for kicks, try lowering all the lower numbers for all the gears to.. 0RPM or something and the highest to say 3000RPM. That should make it start reacting coloring the bars at idle and follow you all the way up until 3000RPM.
