what do you guys think...more power.

OK i wrote this PM to the guys at home to hopefully put them to work and throw around some bolts and sling a few turbos to get me rolling. i sent them this message and i want to know you guys opinions on what i should be looking for, read as if you were the company i sent the email to, to get the full understanding.

message:
OK heres my deal i have a 09 TC the red one you made the charge pipes for and it sat on your desk for weeks collecting dust with no address to go out to thats me.. so anyway, i want more power out of my car and i want it to be so fast im almost scared to drive but i want it to be a good daily driver without blowing up also. my car is my DD and i love my car, so blowing up is not an option. what im looking at is a bigger turbo the biggest i can get without the turbo lag i dont know if the s20g of yours is the biggest you make but if not i want bigger if the lag is not very significant than im down with that but i want max power i can push out of my car without causing harm, i am prepared to do full upgrades and internals fuel systems the works i want it all. also i will be ordering a new clutch from clutchmasters since you guys say you use them alot and they work well. i have a GM tech who is going to install all the parts for me what i want you guys to do is sell it to me and tell me every single thing you think i will need down to the last nut and bolt. i also will need a BOV and a new pipe for it to go on, i already have you guys charge pipe and coolram intake i just need to rest and i will also need a new intercooler, it can even say hahn on it...i will also buy you guys tune but i want it to delete the learn down feature for my car so i can get the max power. please tell me what you guys can do for me money as of now is not a problem but i want to try to stay in the $6000 range i want that to be my max but if possible i also want to be really really close to 500whp

Thats gay.

but i want it to be a good daily driver without blowing up also.
obviously, doesn't everyone want this? Not to mention its very contradictary. How can you push a car to its limits and expect there to not be consequences?

my car is my DD and i love my car, so blowing up is not an option
same statement as above.

Nobody wanted to read this useless demand out of an unknown company. What is the thread about? How can we help you by reading your rediculous request of said unknown company? Your asking for the impossible out of a company. I'm absolutely sure if that were right now possible, there'd be a kit being marketed right now for 6000$, but thats insane.

I'm only a few months old to this site and probably shouldn't have answered your "segment" like this but come on man, use common sense.

 Epic fail. You should ask them to give your car some treads and turn it into a tank while you're at it.

Only one company sells a "CoolRam" intake right now... Hahn.

And to the OP... no offense, but that's really hard to read. Maybe capitalization, double spacing between sentences, and paragraphs will help break it up a bit to make it easier to read and understand.

Hahn has one. And there's already a guy working with them to try and get the fueling worked out. They are struggling with the tune to get it above 400 at the wheels..why would you even send them this? At least try to sound intelligent when you e-mail a company about getting work done.

You need to focus on a single idea/goal...

Everybody wants insane horsepower and be perfectly reliable...and that is the reason supercars cost as much as they do.

If you really want a car that is "so fast it is scary to drive" you got the wrong car. Pick up an old Fox body Mustang, drop in a 408 or a built 331, put on a blower and you will be running low to mid 10's all day...trust me when I say that is plenty scary for the street.

But if high 12's/low 13's is enough to scare you, then I would say that your goal is more realistic.

OK thanks to everyone for flaming my ***** for my post, maybe Bill did see it and think the same thing I don't know.

I guess I have the issue of typing as I speak and never make a clear and precise sentence because I'm typing and talking at the same time.

I am not deployed right now but my brain is, I leave for Iraq on Monday night so right now I am in full deployment mode and I will be in the middle of a war zone.

If punctuation and sentence structure was a requirement for signing up for this forum it was not stated as so in the terms of agreement that I read so I humbly apologize and also apologize ahead of time for my future post's of the same nature.

I did actually go to school I finished high school and I have a ton of college completed as well, I do know what a complete sentence looks like and I also know how to spell and do spell check. Had I known the Grammar ****'s were going to be reading my posts I would have made a better effort, again I so whole heartedly apologize, but I can not say that it won't happen again but I will take every step I can to make an valiant effort that it does not. If I should make another mistake please be kind enough to find it in your hearts and minds to forgive me.

Ever so humble and grateful,
Eric.

That seems to be what many gave you, albeit overly harsh at times.

Overall, the belief seems to be that if it is well written and concise, then the company you are sending this to will receive it better and take it more seriously, therefore increasing the chance that you'll hear back or get what you're hoping for. A well written letter goes a long way.

The possible improvements:
1) Punctuation
2) Some grammar
3) Need to maybe change/bring down you hp requirements versus cost a bit due to the fact that it's a bit conflicting (and not even currently possible on the LNF).
4) An action statement. I learned this when I was in college. Put a sentence in there, usually towards the end that asks for an action or tells them what you want them to do, in this case asking them to contact you back probably.

The highest whp people are making right now is a bit north of 400whp due to fueling issues. Without a lot of money to make it worthwhile to them for time and expenses for more R&D, it's going to be difficult to get more than that.

The consensus seems to be that if you polished it up a bit in these ways then you're going to have a very good letter/message/E-Mail to send to the company and a higher chance of ultimate success.

We get emails like this all the time. People want more power than evryone else is making for less money than many are spending and they want it to be more reliable than modified cars generally are. Realistically, how far is $6k going to go? We could do a turbo swap kit for about $2500. With $1000 for installation and extensive tuning, it would be at $3500. Add in the required clutch and install for $1500 and we are already at $5k. A 3" catback installed will run more than $500. At this point, you are looking at $5500 and coming in around 400whp. 500whp will require a larger turbo adding $500. An external fuel system and modified intake manifold will run $1500 and add $1000 install and tuning. That puts you at $8k. Upgraded charge tubes and a large FMIC will run about $1500 installed, bringing you to $9500. A ported head with installation, springs, gaskets, fluids, will run $2000+, which brings the total to $11,500. This setup should be capable of 500whp. Unfortunately, it would be a stretch to call it streetable and not likely to be reliable considering the stock bottom end and transmission are still in place.

Well, he said money was not a problem, so maybe there's a chance for him right there.

Thanks for shedding some light the costs involved.

sorry for blasting you. I didnt mean for it to come out that way, I didnt understand what you were asking from us when you posted that. It didn't sound like someone was asking for advice or for help. Sounded like you were looking for approval to a message? And you've been on here alot longer than I have, so when you decided to add that comment about 36 views and no posts, I decided to explain to you why no one posted, they couldnt understand what it was they were suppose to post. plus we've all been looking for that magical huge amount of power at low cost, and it's so far not possible at this stage. Good luck over seas!

I am just confused on why it took so many posts for people to realize who the "mysterious" vendor he was messaging. It even says their name in the message haha
