Im in the process of tring to remove the stock Turbo but cant get the braided line off that goes from the valve cover to the turbo.... How is that line removed?

is it easy removing the turbo with the motor still in the car?

 

im almost positive that braided line uses a fuel line fitting. there is a special tool to remove that

 

So far No it is NOT easy to remove the Turbo...... "BLAZIN07SS" you are right, I got it off..... But I couldnt use the fuel line removal tool, I ended up making my own tool out of a tiny screw driver.

Here it is without the gm photos

Drain the cooling system.
Remove the charge air cooler inlet pipe.
Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.
Remove the charge air cooler pipe bolts at the turbocharger.
Remove the charge air cooler pipe from the turbocharger.
Remove the air conditioning (A/C) evaporator hose assembly.<- they want you to evacuate the A/C, if i were you try to work around this step. if you touch the a/c system without certification and caught its up to $1000000 fine and second offence 1 year in jail. and im sure you dont got the proper equipment so if you open the system and release it into the atmosphere you will need it recharged once your done and the dealership or business you take it to to get it done will question u as to where it went because they can be questioned as well seen as its a new vehicle and therefore it shouldnt have leak out. R134a (refrigerant) is greenhouse gas and is very illegal to be released. I know all about this i took a $245 dollar course to become certified. Boring

Remove the A/C rear condenser tube.
Remove the brake vacuum booster vacuum hose from the booster.
Unbolt the transmission shiftier bracket from the transmission and leave cables attached and position aside.
Remove the turbocharger heat shield bolts and shield.
Remove the catalytic converter.
Remove the heated oxygen sensor.
Remove the turbocharger exhaust pipe heat shield bolts.
Remove the turbocharger exhaust pipe heat shield.
Raise and support the vehicle.
Remove the turbocharger exhaust pipe nuts.
Remove the turbocharger exhaust pipe.
Remove the turbocharger bracket bolt.
Remove the turbocharger bracket bolt and bracket.
Remove the turbocharger brace bolts.
Remove the turbocharger brace nut and brace.
Lower the vehicle
Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the turbocharger wastegate solenoid valve
Reposition the vacuum hose clamp at the turbocharger.
Remove the vacuum hose from the turbocharger
Remove the engine wiring harness clip from the turbocharger coolant feed pipe
Remove the turbocharger coolant feed pipe bolt at the turbocharger.
Remove and discard the turbocharger coolant feed pipe gasket.
Remove the turbocharger coolant feed pipe bolt from the cylinder head.
Reposition the turbocharger coolant feed pipe out of the way
Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) pipe from the turbocharger.
Reposition the PCV pipe (with fitting) out of the way.
Remove the thermostat outlet housing and pipe.
Remove the turbocharger oil feed pipe bolts and pipe.
Remove and discard the turbocharger oil feed pipe gaskets
Remove the turbocharger coolant return pipe bolts and pipe.
Remove and discard the turbocharger coolant return pipe gaskets
Remove the turbocharger nuts.
Remove the turbocharger from the exhaust manifold studs while also removing the turbocharger oil return hose from the engine block.
Remove and discard the turbocharger gasket and oil return hose O-ring seal

*If replacing the turbocharger, perform the following steps otherwise proceed to the step 7 in the Installation Procedure.
Remove the turbocharger oil return hose bolts and hose from the turbocharger.
Remove and discard the turbocharger oil return hose gasket
Reposition the vacuum hose clamps at the turbocharger wastegate solenoid valve.
Remove the vacuum hoses from the turbocharger wastegate solenoid valve.

step 7->Clean and inspect turbocharger. Gently push back the turbocharger wastegate solenoid valve retainer and remove the turbocharger wastegate solenoid valve from the bracket.

Ok I got the Turbo and manifold out, I did NOT have to undo any AC lines, or thermostat housing. Everything has to be done through the bottom.
I will post up a pic of the new Turbo and Turbo tubular header. later

the thought of takeing out the turbo scares me . lol

 

did you get the turbo and manifold from synapse?

I plan on running thier manifold its sexy looking!
