paint on my paint

so two weeks ago june 2 i was at work. normal day bussing tires oil changes flushes ect. then im told the building next to us is painting and to go move my car there getting it all over. i go out and the unthinkable happened. its all over not to mention my sunroof was open and got in my car.
guy says its latex it will come right off, after work i spend two hours washing a claying the car and its still there. he says its not his fault next day. then i get an estimate for 250 to remove the paint and he says this is covered under insurance ill call it in for you.
well two weeks later he hasn't called them or me and every time i go next door to talk to him he just stepped out.
so im suing him for 1000$ i know its alot BUT the detailer who is a really good guy says because the paints baked for two weeks its alot harder because its set now and will be a pita to get off. now the estimate is 500-600 and two days. so im suing for the cost of repair, rental car for two days, and cort cost wich all comes up to be right over 850...
moral learned ppl are ******** when its not there **** getting damaged

Well today someone hit my rear bumper causing paint transfer and I used that meguiars scratch remover just because thats the first thing I seen in my trunk and it ended up taking all the paint up in only a few passes but now im able to see the paint chips where that person hit my car.

This is definitely a f*cked up society we live in now-a-days. You really should have demanded that he address this issue and remove the overspray from your car or give him option 2; file a police report and have everything documented. I guarantee you that he would not have blown you off.

Anyhow, its beyond that point so GL with the court situation. Remember to get some negative word-of-mouth reviews about him out there as well.
