2.4 Manifold Swap Problem
2.4 Manifold Swap Problem
I looked and haven't seen anyone with this problem so i thought I'd ask. I just installed a 2.4 Manifold and all went perfectly (following Maven's HowTo), except that when I got to the brake booster line I just went down to the parts store and picked up a longer length of 15/32" tube and used the old ends on it.
Now the issue is, the "QD" end that attaches to the manifold won't stay clipped. I hit the clip part with a little bit of emery cloth and got it to lock somewhat, but if I twist it a little it will pop off. I thought I'd just go ahead and zip-tie it or put a hose clamp over it, or make it permanently attached via a hose clamp, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, if so how'd you fix it?

I'd call it a QD, its the end that connects to the nipple, but it isn't a "normal" hose clamp, you pop off the retainer ring and it slides out, then slide on and shove the retainer back in, but when it goes back in it doesn't click all the way, and my girly hands can't get a pliers in there to get it pushed down and I haven't found any other way to accomplish it. Thought about just using a normal bolt driven hose clamp to attach it to the nipple.
